This piece, an immersive experience meant to showcase the warmth and community within the lesbian and sapphic identites, centered the beautification of a mundane space with submissions of art, photography, anonymous love letters, songs, and poetry. The curation of both claimed and anonymous work showcased both public-facing and more vulnerable and emotional aspects of a shared set of identities, and emulated the work of lesbian and queer artists such as Lois Weaver and Tammy Rae Carland, who centered ideas of community, conversation, and shared experience in their performances and photography, respectively.

Featuring submissions from Maya Lozea, Clara Martin, Paige Meril, Lila Popell, and several anonymous writers, artists, and lovers.

Co-Created and Curated with Ella Kramer for Wesleyan University’s May 2024 Queer Performance Studies Cohort
